Cryoskin Therapy

  • CryoSlimming®

The treatment for CryoSlimming® is more localized and targeted at reducing fat. This treatment starts off with an immediate controlled drop in the temperature; by using the correct technique, the technician can bring the temperature down quickly to -4°C, which gets deep into the hypodermis layer of skin where that stubborn subcutaneous fat lives. There is enough catastrophic damage done to the cell matrix of the fat cell to induce cell apoptosis, or programmed cell death.

  • CryoToning®

CryoToning® works by using the wand set to cold, generally not below -2°C, to massage the skin. This improves the oxygenated blood flow (microcirculation). The blood vessels are then able to deliver fresh nutritious blood to the other cells in the dermis; this, in turn, boosts collagen and elastin production and improves the quality of these fibers. This helps build up the skin, making it appear smoother and tighter.

  • CryoFacial®

Cryoskin facials utilize the application of cold temperatures to tighten, smooth and shape areas lacking elasticity by increasing micro-circulation (oxygenated blood flow) by alternating vasoconstriction (the narrowing of the blood vessels) and vasodilation (the widening of the blood vessels). This means your skin will be smoother with reduced fine lines and wrinkles. A natural, non-invasive way to look younger and more radiant.

Cryolipolysis

Cryolipolysis, commonly referred to as fat freezing, is a nonsurgical fat reduction procedure that uses cold temperature to reduce fat deposits in certain areas of the body.

The procedure is designed to reduce localized fat deposits or bulges that do not respond to diet and exercise. This modality is intended for people who are within 15-20 lbs of their ideal healthy weight.

Adipocyte Apoptosis

Apoptosis is the natural process of programmed cell death. It’s something our bodies do naturally, allowing them to balance out old and new cells and remove any unwanted cells.

The apoptosis process happens when fat cells are exposed to controlled thermal reduction. It is the cold temperatures that encourage the process of apoptosis to begin in fat cells.

With Cryoskin technology, this process works when a trained Cryoskin technician applies a hyaluronic acid based gel to protect the skin, rapidly cools the treatment area to a temperature range of +4C to -4C .

Once the temperature is reduced to sustained cold within the effective range, the fat cells can no longer sustain life.

As fat cells are more susceptible to cold temperatures than other cells, fat freezing activates apoptosis in the fat cells only, achieving the desired result without causing any damage to the skin or other cells.

FAQs

  • The treatments last between 40-50 minutes depending how each person responds to the treatment. The technician is monitoring the temperature of the fat being treated to ensure it is within the effective treatment range so as to produce an effective treatment.

  • CryoSlimming® treatments can be performed once every 14 days and CryoToning®/CryoFacial and Under the Chin treatments can be performed every 3-7 days.

  • Results are typically visible after the first 5 treatments -however some can see results immediately. Every body responds differently to the treatments, depending on your own lymphatic drainage rhythm. Results continue to improve for 48 hours after the treatment, and treated areas continue to improve for a couple of months post treatments.

  • Results will depend on the individual and their lifestyle. CryoSlimming® is permanent with a healthy diet and lifestyle. CryoToning® and CryoFacials require maintenance treatments.

  • Avoid working out 2 hours pre-treatment. Avoid carbs/sugars for a minimum of 2 hours before and after the treatment. Ensure that you drink enough water (half your body weight in ounces) every day for the 14 days following your treatment.

  • Treatment areas can include:

    -double chin area

    -arms

    -flanks

    -bra bulge area

    -waist

    -abdomen

    -inner/outer/back of thighs

    -around the knees
